Prospective students should take challenging courses and earn good grades in them. They need to be involve in many activities both in and out of school to show that they are interested in going the extra mile to succeed and do well. Students also need to earn good scores on their SAT/ACT to show the college their level of competitiveness with other students. The best thing students can do is work hard and be passionate about their activities.

Took the SATS, Went on a couple campus tours, met with some of the admission and other staff. To be honest my coach really helped me a lot with the whole admissions process and I decided to go to Marist as a junior in HS, so I can't say i remember a lot of it. It was slightly different for me because i was going to be playing Women's Soccer at Marist, so i met with a lot of different athletics administration.

The big thing that i would recommend is to take a few tours during different times of the year so you get a true feel of what Marist is about. If you come in the winter you're going to think it's so cold. If you come in the spring everyone will be outside playing football or frisbee or laying on the grass by the library. A lot of people go down to the river and hang out down there when it's nice out too. So really depending on when you come you'll get to experience the different types of atmospheres Marist has to offer. Also, if possible stay overnight to experience a different aspect of Marist.

I took part in lots of extra curricular activities in high school and managed to keep my grades up. Extracurricular involvement is a HUGE part of Marist student life so it's definitely good to get a head start in high school.
